It is awarded by the 1st Regional Directorate of State Hydraulic Works. The
project is located at the southeast of Marmara Sea and 10 km away of
northwest of Gemlik District on the Büyükumla stream. Upon the completion, it will
meet the needs of potable water and irrigation of Gemlik Gulf settlement. The
technical definition of Project is; the height of body from river bed: 48m, the
height of body from foundation: 81m, the length of crest: 385m, the type of body
is: rock filling and upstream faces covered by concrete, the upstream slope is 2
(horizontally)/ 1 (vertically), downstream slope is 2 (horizontally)/ 1 (vertically).
